Yoga brings together physical and mental disciplines to achieve peacefulness of body and mind. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace, appropriate modifications for poses are provided and props (blocks, straps etc) are used where appropriate.  The potential health benefits of yoga include:

  • Better body awareness
  • Increase flexibility and mobility
  • Strengthen and tone muscles
  • Improve stability and core strength
  • Improved Posture
  • Stress reduction
  • Improved fitness (good cross training for other activities you may like to do)
  • Learn how to use the breath to relax and heal
  • Management of chronic conditions

My Why Yoga?

Yoga is about self-acceptance, not self-improvement.
Yoga is a physical practice. Yoga is so much more than a physical practice.
Yoga is about holding space, breathing into what is.
Yoga is about understanding your own mind.
Yoga is about holding space for emotions, thoughts, feelings.
Yoga is learning how to pause, to breath. To Act, Not React.
Yoga is about making friends with the body and meeting you where you are.
Yoga is a paradox, a balance, it is both strong and soft.
Yoga is community, a sangha, a tribe.
Yoga is a non-judgmental practice.
Yoga encourages you to go with the flow of life.
Yoga teaches to watch and register change. To celebrate impermanence.
Yoga is a way of life.
Yoga has saved and given me life.
Yoga is my foundation and my rock.
